Since 1414, for 600 years, it is known that there has been operation on Nordfjeld farm. From 1902 the property has been owned by the Stang family and in 2003 the art collector and shipowner Hans Rasmus Astrup took over the property on heritage.
Astrup put a thorough stamp on the property and invested a lot in what we know Nordfjeld as today. The business was expanded, and the course and conference center on the property became a fact.
At Nordfjeld farm it is really "old that meets new". Astrup's collection of modern art, furniture and peasant antiques runs like a red thread through all the rooms.
In 2021, AS Krokstad Skov took over operations at Nordfjeld farm, following Astrup's passing.
