Description
Søstun Gård has been a farm since the 1600s. All the houses on the farm are old. The arch is from 1805 and the farmhouse was rebuilt in 1905 to the style we see today.
Animal husbandry plays a key role at Søstun Farm, all year round. They encourage visitors to take part in farm life, and the tasks that come with it. That is, feeding, shoveling, welcoming new residents to the farm, planting greenery, harvesting, caring for and socializing with the animals.
The time of year determines the work tasks. Training in the care of animals will be provided, and at the end of the stay this will be possible to do on your own, if desired.
On the farm live sheep, mini pigs, rabbits, chickens and cows. The farm harvests many resources, which guests benefit from. Help yourself to the farm's own pantry!
