What is Minimäki?

Minimäki is a very special area by the lake Steinreien at Finnskogen. The area can accommodate 30 tiny houses. You own your tiny house yourself, and rent the allotment. Each allotment has arrangements for electricity, water and sewage that you connect to. The plan is to build modern, economical and energy-friendly cabins. Minimäki is a community with, among other things, a communal cabin that will contain equipment and aids to be able to use Finnskogen in a good way.

Minimäki means "veslebakken". "Mini" comes from tiny houses. "Mäki" is Finnish and means hill. This word can be found in many place names at Finnskogen, including the Finn farm we grew up on, "Lethomäki". Minimäki is located in sloping terrain down to lake Steinreien. Steinreien is located at Lundersæter, only 1 hour 45 minutes from Oslo. Minimäki is intended as a cabin field where you get the opportunity to take advantage of the enormous resources we have at Finnskogen. In the middle of nature.

Practical information: You park in the common car parking lot close to the field. It will be possible to drive to the property if needed, but we want to avoid car traffic on the field. When you have turned off the national road, Minimäki is located after a narrow cul-de-sac with a barrier. There are only 3 cabins and one small farm that uses the road today. You don't see any other buildings from Minimäki. Here nature is the closest neighbor.
